About Us

Eoto Atl Community Outreach Inc. is a youth empowerment 501(c)3 non-profit organization, established in December 2023 founded by Ms. Deirdre Thomas, a native Atlanta deeply familiar with the city’s diverse landscape and the challenges its youth face. Having navigated her hurdles, she felt compelled to create a platform that offers support and guidance to youth and teens ages 8 – 19 from varying socio-economic backgrounds encountering similar struggles. Witnessing firsthand the disparities in opportunities and resources across different parts of Georgia, Ms. Thomas envisioned EOTO ATL as a beacon of hope. In this setting, every youth or teen could find the assistance and encouragement they need to overcome obstacles and realize their potential. Our organization firmly believes that every young person deserves equitable access to opportunities and support systems.

My Journey, My Purpose

As the founder of Each One Teach One, I know firsthand the struggles of overcoming adversity and breaking through barriers. Growing up, I faced numerous challenges that could have easily derailed my dreams. But I refused to let my circumstances define me.

As a natural-born caregiver, I’ve always had a passion for helping others. However, my path hasn’t been easy. I’ve faced rejection, disappointment, and countless “no’s” that made me question my worth. But with each setback, I grew more determined to make a difference. I realized that my struggles were not unique to me. Many young people today face similar challenges, feeling rejected and marginalized due to mistakes or circumstances beyond their control. They’re struggling to find their place in the world, wondering if they’ll ever be enough.

A Beacon of Hope
That’s why I created Each One Teach One. I want to be the light in the darkness for those who feel lost and forgotten. I want to show them that their mistakes don’t define them, that they are capable of growth, learning, and redemption.
Our mission is to empower youth who’ve faced rejection and adversity, providing them with the tools, mentorship, community engagement and support they need to thrive. We believe that every individual deserves a second chance, regardless of their past.

Breaking Cycles
Through Each One Teach One, I aim to break the cycles of rejection, poverty, and hopelessness that plague our communities. I want to create a safe space where young people can:
– Heal from past wounds
– Discover their strengths and passions
– Develop resilience and determination
– Build positive relationships with mentors and peers

My vision for Each One Teach One is to:

– Provide holistic programs addressing education, mental health, and personal development
– Foster a community of support, acceptance, and understanding
– Connect young people with resources, opportunities, and networks
– Celebrate their successes and progress, no matter how small
